Toro Snowblower Surging

Toro Snowblower Surging - You can bend it back pretty easily with a pair of needle. Starts on first or second pull (who need electric start) and has plenty of power, but it did have a bad surge. Typically this type of surge is caused by a clogged primary jet. I just purchased a new toro 621e snowblower with the 163cc ohv tecumseh engine. It started on the first pull and ran right up to full speed (no throttle control) but starts surging. When a snow blower is surging, it is usually due to a clogged carburetor jet. Other possible causes are broken carburetor springs, a worn out gasket or a dirty air filter. Surging is a common symptom when gas degrades while sitting in the carburetor, and starts to plug it up.
